We Remember December 6
Each year on December 6, Women’s College Hospital commemorates the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women, established in 1991 by the Parliament of Canada. For the Women’s College Hospital community and Canadians across the country, December 6 is an important day of remembrance and reflection. On this 23rd anniversary of the tragic killings at l’École Polytechnique in Montréal, please join us as we honour the 14 female victims who lost their lives because of gender-based violence. Our keynote speaker will be Fran Odette, program manager of the Women with Disabilities and Deaf Women’s Program at Springtide Resources. Her address is titled: The Time is Now: Charting a Course for Action and Mobilization to End Violence Against Women.
