Apocalypse (not to scale)

Apocalypse (not to scale) is Laurie Bulchak’s exploration of the end of the world. Through forced perspective and a play on scale, she seeks to contextualize the unique human experience in a variety of catastrophic events. Bulchak is a contemporary artists working with cinematographs, a digital art form that isolates a single component of a moving image while the surrounding image remains static, in a gallery setting. The timing of this exhibit couldn't be better, as the world confronts yet another end-of-days prediction and apocalyptic myth and imagery continues to infuse film, television, and other forms of popular culture.
