OCIC Focus in Development: World Vision - Brazilian Youth Putting an End to Gang Violence

Youth in Brazil are taking matters into their own hands. Join OCIC and World Vision Canada and come hear the powerful personal stories of two young women in Brazil working with World Vision to change their communities and bring hope to thousands of youth facing a life of gang violence and death. Through Monitoramento Jovem de Políticas Públicas (Youth Monitoring of Public Policies) 700 youth in eight Brazilian states have realized concrete results in improvement of public services and in ensuring the political participation of children and adolescents. This event will be co-hosted by the LOFT Youth Centre for Social Enterprise and Innovation.
