The Purple Elephant Campaign

We are hosting an event to create awareness for Alzheimer’s disease on October 11, 2012 at 144 Locus in Liberty Village.

In spite of the efforts of those working with the Alzheimer’s community, many are still unaware of the disease or are uneducated as to its global impact. Alzheimer’s disease is NOT an “old persons” disease. Early diagnoses happens in people as young as 50! Think about how you would you feel if your parents started forgetting who you are?

Currently there are 26 million people in the world living with Alzheimer’s disease. That number is set to quadruple to around 106 million by 2050 becoming a global epidemic. Alzheimer’s disease has NO survivors and there is NO cure.

Together, we can help create awareness of the disease and educate people as to why it is so important to start living healthy at a young age. New routines, hobbies, diets, activities and languages are a sure way to boost your memory and keep it strong.

Please join us on October 11th to help spread awareness and raise funds for Alzheimer’s Disease. Proceeds and donations are given to Alzheimer’s Disease International for further research to help find a cure.
