BECOMING HOLMES WITH SHANE PEACOCK

To launch the final novel in his acclaimed “Boy Sherlock” series, BECOMING HOLMES, award-winning author SHANE PEACOCK will guide aspiring sleuths between 8-12 through a scavenger hunt/murder-mystery writing workshop.

Peacock will provide the young wordsmiths with the premise for a murder mystery set in Toronto’s Poor House during the nineteenth century (which is, today, the YWCA Elm Centre). They will then explore the grounds of the original building in search of clues and, working with Peacock, compose an ending to the story based on what they find.

The afternoon will end with a celebration of Becoming Sherlock, featuring a dramatic reading by Peacock. Workshop participants can get their copies of the novel signed four days before it goes on sale to the general public.
