Workers and Students - Unite and Fight!

The global capitalist crisis is unleashing a wave of austerity. The bosses are attempting to put the burden of their crisis on the backs of workers, youth and all sections of the oppressed. In response there is a growing fight back. Occupy, Wisconsin, the Arab Revolutions, the Euro collapse, are all symptoms of this impasse. In Quebec we have seen the fantastic student movement against tuition hikes – another form of austerity. Indeed, youth have been at the forefront of the global fight back. The question arises, when and how can the struggle spread to the wider working class? What can workers learn from the radical movement of the students? What can students learn from workers about generalizing the resistance to give it real power?
Come for a discussion, facilitated by Alex Grant, editor of Fightback magazine, about building a united struggle of workers and students against capitalist austerity. Hear from militant students and workers active in the fight for a socialist society.
