     GFC PRESENTS: JACQUES
 
Café Pamenar: 307 Augusta Avenue, Toronto, ON- September 15, 2012- 7:30pm-10:30pm: In its’ eighth year of operation, Greenhope for Children invites you to join them in their first of many installments to celebrate the successes of their recipients. The first event will celebrate Jacques Karekezi and his participation in GFC's sponsorship program. The event will also feature a musical performance by Canadian band First Rate People. The event will include photography by GFC’s Creative Director, Aiko Ortiz ,who travelled to Rwanda to meet the recipients of the program first hand.
 
One of the 20 recipients of Greenhope for Children, Jacques, is currently in grade nine and looking forward to his next school year. He resides in Rwanda with his mother and three siblings. He believes it is only by people working together that the country of Rwanda will improve and people in the same situation as himself and his family will move forward.

-ORGANIZATION OVERVIEW – 
 
Founded in 2004, Greenhope for Children is a Canadian charitable, youth-led organization. Our mission is to advance the education of children living in developing countries by providing scholarships and other basic necessities. All proceeds will go towards funding 20 children for the end of the year 2012 in Rwanda. These recipients will continue their studies through 2013. Greenhope hopes to launch programs for more children.
