1972 Canada-Russia Summit Series Celebration & Free Community Skate

Join us on Sunday, September 23, 2012 from 12 – 4PM as we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the landmark Canada-Russia Hockey Summit Series with a free community skate and author reading.

From 12-2PM, everyone is welcome to a free public skate at the Herbert H. Carnegie Centennial Centre arena, 580 Finch Avenue West. Skate rentals are available.

We are incredibly excited to be able to display at the arena the jersey Paul Henderson was wearing when he scored the series winning goal. Come see a piece of Canadian history!

After the skate, join us next door in the Centennial Library, 578 Finch Avenue West, from 2-4PM as renowned Hockey Author Mike Leonetti reads from his books and discusses the Summit Series.

Plus there will be Displays, Videos, Refreshments, Popcorn and Snacks, Prizes and More!
