Operation Springboard\'s 12th Annual Walkathon

Please join Operation Springboard for our annual walkathon event on Friday, October 5th, 2012 at Ashbridges Bay Park, in support of young adults in the Toronto area living with developmental disabilities.

Operation Springboard provides residential and day programs that empower young adults with developmental disabilities to cultivate the skills they need to reach their full potential. The leading-edge skill building programs focus on life-skill training, with courses such as nutrition, literacy and budgeting, and also on transitioning participants by encouraging volunteer or employment placements in the community.

Funds raised from the walkathon will be dedicated to enhancing the lives of their young clients by providing them with unique community experiences and fundamental necessities that they may not otherwise have access to. Registration for the event is free, but donations are welcome. All participants who raised $50 or more will receive an event t-shirt. The walkathon starts at 9:30am, with participant registration beginning at 8:30am.

Following the event, participants are invited to complimentary brunch. Prizes will be awarded for the most pledges raised and first to cross the finish line.
