Refocus #11 - Amy Seimetz's SUN DON'T SHINE (Canadian Premiere)

SUN DON'T SHINE
Amy Seimetz | 78 min | 2012 | USA
Road movie? Thriller? Love story? Psycho-drama? Amy Seimetz's SUN DON'T SHINE is all of those things at once, and like all films we screen at Refocus, not to be missed (Yeah, I said it!).
Kate Lyn Sheil and Kentucker Audley play lovers in a beat up car who're on the run from something. What that something is becomes clear as their road trip through Florida progresses/falls apart along with their relationship.
"(SUN DON'T SHINE) is a dreamy, watercolor wisp of a film, a sort of hazy, scattered approach to the traditional murder mystery." - , Katie Walsh, Indiewire
"An understated take on the classic Bonnie and Clyde trope with a mumblecore vibe, Seimetz’s film centers on two runaway losers who need to get somewhere far from home – and fast." - Kate Erbland, Film School Rejects
