Purolator Tackle Hunger Food Drive
Purolator is proud to host its annual Purolator Tackle Hunger food drive in support of the Daily Bread Food Bank Society at the Argos vs. Hamilton Tiger-cats game on Saturday, September 8th at the Rogers Centre. All proceeds from the food drive will support the Daily Bread Food Bank.
On game day, Purolator is encouraging Argos fans to help tackle hunger by bringing a non-perishable food item or cash donation to the Purolator volunteers stationed at the stadium gates. In return, fans will have the opportunity to enter a draw to win two tickets to the Sold Out 100th Grey Cup Game in Toronto. In addition to the food drive, every time a CFL quarterback gets sacked throughout the regular season, Purolator is donating the equivalent of the quarterback’s weight in food to the CFL hometown food bank.
Last year, Toronto football fans helped raise more than 28,500 lbs pounds of food through the game day food drive, bringing the total to 194,180 lbs over 10 seasons. Since 2003, Canadian football fans have helped raise more than 5 million pounds of food through the Purolator Tackle Hunger program.
