Getting Yourself Out There: Self-Promotion for Emerging Writers

This workshop is for emerging writers who are getting ready to promote their work. Topics will include: emotional issues surrounding self-promotion, a month-by-month guide to preparing for a book's release, planning a launch, blog and in-person touring, e-mail newsletters, book trailers, online resources, working with a publicist, using social media, talking about your book (elevator speeches), finding reviewers, and reaching out to press, bloggers, radio and television.
