Drag Country Comic Trixie Dixon Live at the Tranzac

'Country drag comic superstar' Trixie Dixon is returning to the Toronto stage for this very special engagement at the Tranzac Club in the Annex.
The concert will feature Trixie singing some classic country hits (from the 1950's and 60's) and songs from the 2011 stage musical 'Daughter of the Dust' (reviewed by Mooney on Theatre as a "country music masterpiece.")
To see a preview of one of Trixie's songs, check out her music video for 'Cigarettes for Christmas' online...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRW7mvKxIKE
Trixie will be backed by a live four piece band lead by fiddler Katie Avery and will be sharing the stage with a couple guest performers as well.
The show will begin with music by Guelph folk trio 'Relative Harmony' (http://www.relativeharmony.com/recordings.htm), followed by a set of classics and original country music by the country quartet 'The Cheatin' Heart's', followed by Trixie herself.
It will be country strong (but not like the Gweneth movie.)
