5th Annual ACO NextGen Design Charrette

Registration is now open and we invite you to join us on October 1, 2016 at Fort York National Historic Site to consider the possible adaptive re-use designs that could be implemented at the Wellington Destructor. The event will take place from 9AM-4:30PM, starting at the intersection of Bathurst St. and Fort York Blvd (by the cannon) for a talk and tour, and will also include a catered lunch.

ACO Member's tickets are $15. General Registration tickets are $27 and include an ACO NextGen membership for the rest of 2016 and all of 2017.

For the 5th year in a row, ACO NextGen is hosting a one-day design charrette for students and emerging professionals in the fields of architecture, planning, landscape architecture, built history, interior design, and heritage conservation. The charrette is intended to encourage creative thinking, cross-disciplinary collaboration, and provide networking opportunities with esteemed speakers and panelists, which will include:

-Wayne Reeves, Chief Curator of City of Toronto's Museums & Heritage Services

-Megan Torza, Partner at DTAH

-Mary MacDonald, Manager of City of Toronto's Heritage Preservation Services

-Nelda Rodger, Editorial Director at Azure Magazine

-Chester Rennie, Landscape Architect at PUBLIC WORK

-Kate Zeidler, Principal Designer of Kate Zeidler Interior Design

-Michael McClelland, Founding Principal of ERA Architects
