By the Pound 3 ~ Call for submissions

Call for submissions - By the Pound 3
Okay Folks,
round 3 of By the Pound touches down in a gallery near you December 6th 2012. We've taken suggestions from artists and patrons from the past 2 events and have re-designed the logistics of submitting to better suit everyones needs, so please READ CAREFULLY!
ALL artists are required to pay a $75 hanging fee which now allows you to submit anywhere from 1-4 pieces and artists may pay the hanging fee more than once to submit more than 4 pieces, but only up to a maximum of twice ($225/12 pieces)
ALL pieces submitted can now be a maximum of 3ftx4ft and all work MUST be done on gallery style Canvas or Woodpanel which measures 1.5 inches in depth. Anything not submitted on one of these can not be excepted to the show with the except of the following newly added option:
Artists are now aloud to Frame thier work. The work must still meet the same size rquirements of no larger than 3ftx4ft and the frames must be gallery style 1.5 inch thick. This is a standard from size that can be purchsed at any art supply store.
The price per pound for all of the above will be raised slightly to $150/pound. Artists are encouraged to pre weigh the work to have an idea of what it will sell for before it is dropped off at the gallery, but it is not required. The option to find creative ways to weigh your work down is always permitted, but again we suggest you pre weigh so you don't over price the piece.
Finally to the most exciting news of it all. This exhibit was organized not only to push the idea on the general public to invest in orginal artwork and support thier local art scene, but as well to give emerging artists a creative and unique way to get thier names and artwork out there. Havig said that, we have decided to AXE the gallery commission on all sales, and artist selling pieces during By the Pound 3 will keep the full price of the piece determined by weight. This is our way of saying thank you for the past 2 years ;)
Exhibit opens December 6th 2012, 7pm - 11pm and closes December 27th 2012. All work remaining must be picked up before January 3rd 2013.
The call for submissions ends when the 100 spaces are filled. Until then it is a first come first serve basis and you must contact us through e-mail at 36chamberscollective@gmail.com to submit. Payment for the hanging fee can be made through e-mail money transfer, or by setting up an appointment to pay in cash. Please direct all questions or inquires to the e-mail provided above.
