SLAMtario 2012: The Ontario Slam Poetry Championships - Finals ft. Dominique Ashaheed

The first annual SLAMtario provincial championship is nearly here! Ten teams will compete for the right to call themselves Ontario champs and claim the $1,000 top prize!

Plus you don't want to miss our featured performer at Finals -- the 2012 Women of the World Poetry Slam Champion Dominique Ashaheed, all the way from Denver, Colorado!

Here's how it will work:
- Bouts on Friday evening and Saturday afternoon
- Team alternates will slam as full members
- Top four teams advance to the Finals on Saturday evening
- All teams must do at least one team piece in the Finals
- Winning team receives $1,000, second place $500, third & fourth $125 each
- Two of 10 team slots in tournament reserved for youth teams

A limited number of festival passes ARE NOW AVAILABLE to keen Ontario people who want to take in the action in person. Send an email transfer to events@cytopoetics.ca TODAY, because when the passes are gone, they're gone!

Tickets to the preliminary bouts on Friday evening and on Saturday afternoon will be $10 each. Admission to Finals Night is $20.

Team registration remains open but there are only a few spots left! The registration fee is $125 per team. Please contact Tomy Bewick or Greg "Ritallin" Frankson directly for registration details. The first 10 teams to register will be in, so be sure to be ready to get in on this.
