An evening with Stephen Lewis and Dr. Denis Mukwege

Dr. Denis Mukwege, founder of the Panzi Hospital in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), will visit Canada for the first time to discuss rape as a weapon of war and the recent escalation in violence against women and girls in the DRC. Stephen Lewis, former UN Special Envoy for HIV/AIDS in Africa, will address the issue of gender-based violence and outline measures needed to bring perpetrators to justice.

All proceeds from the evening will go to the Panzi Hospital through the Stephen Lewis Foundation and SAFER.
