American Express Canada presents: Room for Thought
Three Amazing Ideas brought to life with the help of Emily Haines, Les Stroud and Marc and Craig Kielburger

The American Express Room for Thought program was designed to help Canadians realize their potential by helping people with big ideas turn those into a reality. Canadians submitted their ideas in three categories: music, travel and adventure and community to have a chance to be mentored by Marc and Craig Kielburger, Emily Haines or Les Stroud.

These ideas will be brought to life in the Room For Thought at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts at 145 Queen St W., Toronto from November 8th to the 10th , November 14th to the 16th, and November 20th to the 22nd.

November 8-10th, 2011 8:00am – 9:00pm
Community - Marc and Craig Kielburger (Free the Children)
Lisa Shanker’s idea to create a Survivor Garden, for people recovering from serious illness will be showcased on November 8, 9 and 10 at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts with the help of Free the Children’s Marc and Craig Kielburger. The public can experience and interact with the idea during any of the days. The Kielburgers will be on location November 8th.


November 14-16th , 2011 8:00am – 9:00pm
Music - Emily Haines (Metric)
Andrew Huang’s winning idea to create an installation that will allow members of the public to interact with music will be created at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts with the help of Metric’s Emily Haines on November 14, 15, 16. The public can experience and interact with the idea during any of the days. Emily Haines will be on location November 15th .

November 20-22nd, 2011 8:00am – 9:00pm
Travel & Adventure - Les Stroud (Survivorman)
Evan Malach’s idea to give underprivileged youth the chance to travel the world will be showcased on November 20, 21, 22 at the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts with the help of Survivorman Les Stroud. The public can experience and interact with the idea during any of the days. Les Stroud will be on location November 21st.
