4/20: Cultivating Compassion

Join us on Sunday April 20th 2014 from 2pm - 5pm as Georgia Toons will be in-shop giving cartoon lessons and providing paper, pencils and crayons for anyone who is willing to try. Please drop by the store to try your hand at cartooning, say hello and purchase one of Georgias original works. Every original artwork comes with a letter of authenticity and a 'Georgia Toons' Limited edition gift bag. Visitors to the exhibit can also enter a draw to win one of Georgias framed original works and some other great goodies for only $2 a ticket.

Georgia Toons describes herself as a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, neighbor housekeeper, homemaker, cook, gardener, dog amuser, artist, cartoonist, patient, caregiver and a medical Cannabis believer and supporter. These qualities, attributes and beliefs shape and flavor all of Georgias artwork. Known best for her cartoons about her son Storm and the use of medical Cannabis for pain relief Georgia also explores other issues dear to her heart such as her dogs, compassion and the Laughing Buddha. Not one to ignore the darker aspects of life, Georgia also tackles topics that outrage her such as GMO foods, mind-numbing television and the pharmaceutical drug industry. Whatever the topic, Georgia skillfully combines self-deprecating wit, blunt truths and a healthy dose of humor to create cartoons that not only educate and inspire but are guaranteed to make us laugh!
