Momentum, North America’s bicycle lifestyle magazine, is headed out to Canada’s top bike cities with the aims of throwing some of the best bike parties their readers have ever seen.
First stop, the BikeStyle Tour invades Toronto on September 2nd at the Drake Hotel. Momentum is going on a Gallery Spin with the Deadly Nightshades. Mia Neilsen, curator of the Drake Hotel and the Deadly Nightshades host a monthly bike-lead gallery tour of the trendy and influential West Queen West neighbourhood the first Thursday of every month as a part of Camp Drake. Meet at 6:30 at the gates of Trinity Bellwoods Park.
After the stylish gallery ride, Momentum goes back to the Drake to be entertained by folding bike lover DJ General Eclectic. Expect a fashion show with Me To We Style’s latest eco-ethical street wear. John Fluevog have donated their latest, limited edition vegan high-tops, and there will be a raffle with the proceeds going to PACTFashion, an innovative fashion academy for at-risk youth. The Toronto Cyclists Union will be providing valet bike parking. Photographer and Momentum Contributor John Lee will be shooting bike-portraits, so shine up your bike and make sure you are dressed to impress.
Momentum has partnered with fantastic sponsors to bring their readers this fun party experience. AVEDA will be providing post style-ride hair and make-up touch ups, and sharing tips on staying fresh on a bike. Nutcase helmets are showing off their colourful display of protection, while Abus Locks will show you how to protect your bike. Knog will be providing the latest in lighting, and Axiom baskets and panniers will let you take home all your bike swag.
