An Evening with Stuart McLean and The Vinyl Cafe – A Benefit for Street Haven

This year, Street Haven at the Crossroads will have been helping women in Toronto for 45 years. To help Street Haven continue on with its amazing work, best-selling author and host of the Vinyl Cafe on the CBC, Stuart McLean, is hosting a benefit, “An Evening with Stuart McLean and the Vinyl Cafe”, on February 9th, 2010. In true Stuart McLean style, there will be lots of laughs and music, not to mention cocktails and an awesome auction.

Don’t know about Street Haven? They’ve been providing services and programs for women in need in downtown Toronto since 1965. And they do a lot – they operate an emergency 33-bed shelter, addiction services programs, supportive housing and a computer skills and literacy training program. Last year, their hostel served over 1,300 women, where they also provide hot meals, access to hygiene and toiletry items, recreational activities, counseling and medical treatment.

So, come out and see Stuart McLean on February 9th!
