"Generation: Hardcore Punk In Toronto" screening at Hits And Misses

A couple of months ago I, along with two of my friends, started filming performances and doing interviews at local hardcore and punk shows in Toronto. This is all part of a project I've been working on entitled Generation: Hardcore Punk In Toronto. This hour (or so) long documentary takes a look at Toronto's hardcore scene and community in the present day and what it means to those who are actively involved in it. Along with performances from local bands, the documentary also includes interviews with many recognizable faces (and voices) in the scene, with members of Fucked Up, Career Suicide and Urban Blight (amongst others) sharing stories and experiences.

This is by no means a "professional" documentary. It's not a big bucks undertaking that I had a trillion dollar budget on. It's simply an informed and passionate look at what makes our scene so great and fun.

Pizza will be on sale! For $1 a slice, you can eat until your heart's content (or until we run out). Also, since the event is taking place after the store is closed, Pete has informed me that you can bring your own drinks.

If you're interested, come on down, listen to some tunes, have some pizza, hang with some friends and enjoy the screening of Generation: Hardcore Punk In Toronto! We hope to see you there!

*This event is BYOC (bring your own chair) AND BYOB, let's drink some beers.
