Pride Parade 2009 | "CAN'T STOP: WON'T STOP"

As part of Toronto’s 29th Annual Pride Week celebration, the LGBTTIQQ2S community, families and friends will unveil this year’s Pride Parade on Sunday June 28th at 2 pm. It will shine with all colours of the rainbow and showcase the wonders of our heritage as one community.

Enjoy what Pride Week has to offer and marvel as downtown Toronto comes to life in a spectacular pride parade that is uniquely Torontonian.

Join our International Grand Marshal, Parade Grand Marshal, and Honoured Group, as they guide the LGBTTIQQ2S communities through our amazing stories of equality, human rights, respect, diversity, honour, love and acceptance. Discover your dreams coming true in a Pride experience that is as big as your heart and courage.

This year, we will celebrate our new theme "CAN'T STOP: WON'T STOP" by elevating the Pride Parade. It will be broadcast LIVE for the first time on CP24. It is our chance to show the world who we are and what we're about by telling our inspiring stories through all aspects of the performing arts; Art Direction, Costume Design, Choreography, Mix (Sound/Music) and Special Effects.

Come witness and experience one of the world’s best Pride Parades, as we promise to transport you into a world filled with music, creativity, excitement and pride.

Pride Parade 2009, “CAN'T STOP: WON'T STOP” begins at 2 pm – Sunday, June 29th and travels west on Bloor St. between Church and Yonge, south on Yonge St. from Bloor to Gerrard, and east on Gerrard St. to Church.

Toronto’s 2009 Pride Parade is about more than a Parade. It’s about you. It’s about your Pride. It’s about our time together. Join us in an event that is truly yours to celebrate.
