THIS WEEK

• The Habitat for Humanity Gingerbread Build takes place this Saturday (December 6) and Sunday (December 7). The family-friendly event takes place in two shifts (1:30pm and 3pm) at the Ontario Science Centre.
• The Depanneur (1033 College St.) hosts a supper club featuring an Ontario Craft Beer Tasting Menu by Kendra Simmonds this Sunday (December 7) from 7:30pm to 10:30pm. The dinner with Beau's Beer pairings costs $40 and will feature beer, ramen, beer-marinated scallops, beer-battered southern-fried quail and waffles, and beer doughnuts.
• 86'd Monday at The Drake Hotel (1150 Queen St. West) presents Mitty's Canadian Whisky Mingler this Monday (December 8) from 8pm. The free event will feature a sampling of gingerbread cookies plus the annual ugly Xmas sweater contest.
• Whole Foods at Yonge and Sheppard is hosting a holiday dinner to benefit the North York Harvest Food Bank on Tuesday (December 9) from 6 to 8pm. The minimum donation is $10 a plate and you need to RVSP.

UPCOMING

• Warm up at the Holiday Beverage Garden between 11am and 6pm on Sunday, December 14 (and the following Sunday the 21st) at Evergreen Brick Works (550 Bayview Ave.) with hot apple cider spiked with maple whisky and eggnog with a shot of spiced rum.
• Celebrate Chrismukkah at The Drake Hotel (1150 Queen St. West) from 6pm on Sunday, December 21. The festive dinner will combine two great December holiday traditions into one special night featuring prime rib, Yorkshire pudding, latkes, and all the trimmings (including wine and dessert) for $29.95. Reservations are required.
• Tickets ($20 in advance) are on sale now for the second annual Roundhouse Winter Craft Beer Festival happening on Saturday, January 31 at Roundhouse Park from 11am to 5pm. Over 20 breweries and 5 food trucks have already confirmed they'll be in attendance, and the first 500 people through the gates will get a 2015 festival toque.
