Your photos of poutine in Toronto

Posted by Liora Ipsum / May 19, 2014

Poutine torontoLeading up to the long weekend, we challenged our readers to celebrate this national treasure and share their cheesiest, most gloriously gravy-soaked photos of poutine. We chose the above photo from Cafe Reznikoff by ruchika___ to award our prize of two poutines proudly supplied by Poutini's House of Poutine.

Check out all the submissions in our Poutine photo stream.

All of those pictures look disgusting. They do not resemble "poutine" at all, it's what Ontarians fondly refer to as "poo-tine".

I was wondering if anyone was going to mention that "poooteeen" pronunciation. It's one of the funniest things about living in Toronto.

Who wants to be prim and proper? I thought that's why we were hipsters. Call it what you want, Pooh-teen, I still call it love!

You also don't have beer at a convenience store.
Your "poo-tine" and "convenience stores" are not the same as the Quebec equivalents, they are clearly inferior.
