Royal Winter Fair Toronto

20 things to see and do at the Royal Winter Fair

The Royal Winter Fair, now in its 91st year, brings a little country to the city each November and is packed full of wholesome fun, cute animal photo ops and plenty of delicious Ontario goodness. It is personally one of my favourite autumn traditions, which I was originally introduced to as a first-year OCAD student assigned to go draw onsite. Since then, I've been almost every year and have now worked out a system that entails eating a peameal bacon sandwich to start, followed by a trip to see some livestock, and then obligatory purchases to stock up on winter-wear and pantry goodies (jams, spicy beans, fudge). New this year, the agricultural fair is offering fresh new programming with a focus on local food, agri-education and competitions.

Here are 20 things to do, see and eat at this year's Royal Winter Fair.
