This week on DineSafe: Blue Goose, Sully's Honest Dogs, Muvbox Lobster, Sakura Korean Japanese

Posted by Sarah Ratchford / June 25, 2013

dinesafe torontoRestaurant operators in Toronto appear to at least sort of be doing their jobs, as evidenced by the fact that the city hasn't had to kiboch any licenses in weeks. There are some major faux pas happening, though, such as all three of the new shipping crate micro-restos on the Harbourfront failing to provide handwashing supplies. Yikes. And Ka Ka Lucky Seafood reared its deviant head again, this time with a grand total of 11 infractions (again, maintaining appropriate levels of hot and cold appears to be a difficult thing at this establishment).

They really hit paydirt when they visited Harbourfront. Three different food-sellers. I think these are all in the outside tents.

Relax yourself, bro. No need to get all uppity.

How do a group of operators open new establishments and not know the codes? I am really happy they have set up shop down on the quay since everything else around there is pretty mainstream. Hopefully they will get it figured out soon.

Broasty's at Runnymede and Bloor has a conditional pass up dated June 24, apparently not keeping the food at safe temp.

I was just at the Blue Goose box today and looks as though all the boxes have been given a pass. I did try the burger after it was recommended to me by a few of my friends and it was delicious. Best burger in the city. Great service too! Looking forward to trying Lobster Roll and Sully's Honest Dog.

Bluegoose only got that conditional pass because the day the health inspector paid a surprise visit, the hot water tank broke. We didnt have hot water that one day, we had it fixed the next day and we now have a pass. Please let me assure you, We practice under strict health and sanitary rules!
