one burger bar closes and a burger bistro rises up to take it's place.

all is right with the world, balance is restored, and we can still get our $15 'burgers and $10 pints.

Tried the Pacific Junction Hotel the other day. It was great! The fish tacos weren't *amazing* but the décor was happy inducing and the staff, from Betty's, were lovely as usual. So great to have a nice, fun haunt in the work hood.

The Hot and Spicy Food Fest is a joke. It's a bunch of retail vendors selling hot sauces. The only food vendors open last year were the same four jerk chicken kiosks that were open all summer long. Not much of an occasion.

I can't think of anything better than The Works opening up near me. There is one in London that I visit at least once every time I'm in town. The Danforth location opened recently but right in my backyard? I'll take it. SO EXCITED.

Laide Lounge @ Adelaide and Jarvis also closed this week after 8 years... looks like there is already construction going on in the space to put in something else...

@Kat- Wow, way to sound like a shill. The Works is another crappy "gourmet" burger chain.

Went to the Street Food Friday event last night and it was good. It looked really neat with the trucks flanking the market stalls. Like one continuous food line. The trucks were great, but a bit pricey as usual. The food stalls were the real winners for me. Prices were very good and so many choices! I'm definitely going back during regular hours so the lineups aren't as bad.
