DineSafeThis week on DineSafe, Toronto health inspectors found a little more than just busy bees working away in some restaurant kitchens. What's a cute expression for, uh, "pesky rodents?" Yes, two restaurants inspected this week were found to be operating with rodent infestations and thus were subsequently shut down. Along with those closures came plenty of conditional passes, with which repeat offenders such as Jules Café and Burger Shack are already well accustomed. Here are some of the DineSafe highlights this week.

Amber
Inspected on: April 28
Inspection finding: Yellow (Conditional Pass)
Number of infractions: 11 (Minor: 3, Significant: 4, Crucial: 2)
Crucial infractions include: Inadequate food temperature control, failure to protect food from contamination

Burger Shack
Inspected on: May 2
Inspection finding: Yellow (Conditional Pass)
Number of infractions: 8 (Minor: 3, Significant: 4, Crucial: 1)
Crucial infractions include: Failure to ensure/provide for proper employee hygiene/handwashing

Guirei Japanese Restaurant
Inspected on: April 30
Inspection finding: Red (Closed)
Number of infractions: 7 (Minor: 3, Significant: 1, Crucial: 3)
Condition(s) for closure: Operator fail to prevent a rodent infestation

Jules Café Patisserie
Inspected on: May 1
Inspection finding: Yellow (Conditional Pass)
Number of infractions: 4 (Minor: 0, Significant: 3, Crucial: 1)
