Photos of the 2011 Taste of Asia Festival
The annual Taste of Asia Festival took over the streets outside the Pacific Mall this weekend, with 150 vendor booths and a host of other activities including a pet fashion show, bike inspections and Shaolin Kung Fu performances amongst other things. It's not really a cliche to say that the festival celebrates diversity considering all the events taking place. Where else can you take in an auto show and a Bibimbap eating competition? For all the stuff to do, however, one thing that everyone got in on was the food. Along with the Bibimbap chowdown, there was a noodle eating challenge and ample opportunity to get stuffed with cuisine from throughout Asia and beyond.

The EVENTS calendar in BlogTO needs some major fix ups people..
We really could have used a heads up on this event.

How can one know if they're excited about an event that they weren't aware of? It's not too much to ask of a site that discusses what's going on in the city.
What do you want me to do, Frank? Do you want me to get out my 2012 agenda and write down a reminder for around this time next year?
Your comment on Aydin's post however, sucks. To continue on and say that the responsibility ultimately rests with "you" is cheeky and disrespectful to everyone who reads BlogTO. The thought that you clearly missed is that if you plan on reporting on a certain event, a simple heads up would've been nice which Derek duteously addressed.
