The Beer Fest in Photos

20070813-beerfest.jpgNever underestimate the tenacity of a dedicated beer drinker.

This is the lesson I learned after attending the Toronto Festival of Beer this past Sunday. It was my fourth year at the fest, and the first time that there was even a cloud in the sky. At first it drizzled, but then it poured.

I didn't know what to expect. Would the legions of beer drinkers who had descended on Fort York suddenly scatter? Or would they crowd under each beer tent, drinking more beer than they would have otherwise, while trying to stay out of the rain?

Look at the photos to find out (like it's a big mystery).

The rain finally finished with a few hours left and everyone celebrated with a drink.

The people were friendly, the beer selection was great and the weather was perfect. A great event in TO every summer !

Nothing about the bands or any of the little events that happened. No stories of the drunkards getting taken away by police (seen in the photos). Just 65+ pictures of people sticking their tongue's out and holding beer. Ya, you really don't need to post any more there man. 65 is about 55 too much as it is, especially when they're as jaw droppingly awesome as this one: flickr.com/photos/takemorephotos/1111374262/

BlogTO shouldn't be Zach's free advertising site. Take LESS Photos, or at least only post the good ones. If there are any.

Sorry you didn't like the photos steve and toide.

The beer fest does have a very unhip middle-aged white man vibe to it, but there is also a lot of fun to be had if you avoid these guys and go with a lot of friends.

The Playa del Carmen shirt had me cracking up. I was there last year in April and remember seeing stores upon stores full of those horrible things.. too funny.

Hey toide-o! Ever heard of a picture being worth a thousand words? How about you view and interpret the photos yourself? Or just not look at the post at all if you have a problem with it! Jerk!
