Bye Bye Biryani House

One of the better places in the city to fill up on indian food is closing its doors. Debu Saha's Biryani House will be serving its last meal this Sunday April 29th.

According to his blog, the chef will be packing up for Europe and Asia for some much needed R&R. Hopefully one day he'll come back and share with us what he learned.

So sad. I loved their lamb shank curry thing.

A perfect case of terrible location. Also, they shouldn't have switched to prix fixe only.

Totally agree. If he was in a prime location (Bloor, Queen, Church, King etc.) he would have done much better.

I finally leased the space at your location.
I am a chef and my wife is ex-bollywood actress.
And I have catered to bollywood stars around India.
I'm turning it into an Indo-Chinese restaurant.

Could you tell me how much was you rent when you were there. Just curious.
