Zig Zag

Zig ZagLike every other condo-owning museum go-er, you could get a reproduction of Mies van der Rohe and Lilly Reich's Barcelona chair, or, for less money and more backstory, you could pick-up Zig Zag's set of two original Robert Haussmann's 1955 Bauhaus-inspired bronze-plated Swiss versions for $1095.

I took a chance and returned to Zig Zag today to browse. I have had several less than satisfactory sales experiences in this store but hoped things had changed. Unfortunately, they haven't. The sales person in the store this afternoon was neither friendly nor helpful and let's face it ---it's not as though there aren't lots of other places to shop. You would think that in these uncertain economic times, retailers would be going the extra mile to boost customer loyalty. I would recommend that you skip Zig Zag and spend your money where you are treated like they appreciate your business. I won't ever go back.

I've never had anything but good service at this store and I have been frequenting it for years. Excellent quality - the buyer has a great eye: they are friendly and helpful each and every time. Really, I don't know what you are talking about. Could it be your attitude?

Stumbled across the store while looking for another. Fell in love with a lamp and purchased it. Service was nothing but friendly and helpful. Had limited budget and they were accomdating. Looking forward to going back soon.

Visited several times over the last few months and have purchased a number of pieces. Knowledgeable, friendly sales service. Would definitely return.

We were excited to visit Zig Zag as they seemed to have some great pieces online but these posts of bad service were spot on.

Unwelcoming staff did not even acknowledge that we were there. A gentleman sat behind a desk, not looking up once. Another costumer left and thanked him for his help, she was answered by silence.

Many cool places in the area, wIll not be returning.

I was just wondering if you buy items from the average Joe? I have 2, I believe to be retro lamps that I'm sure someone might enjoy. They are crushed velvet with black fringe (1 is ruby red the other gold). One has a black rod iron base, the other hangs from the ceiling (swag lamp). Both have large globes over the light bulbs. They are wired so that apparently they can be hooked up to a sound system. The shades are the size of a very large salad bowl. Anyway I thought they were unusual at the time of purchase but am downsizing and no longer have any use for them. Thank you
