Linseed is one of the most unheralded art supply stores in Toronto. Not that it should necessarily BE heralded, but it's definitely overshadowed by its OCAD-area competitors like Aboveground and Curry's and is seldom thought of as a destination in other parts of the city.
And that would be too bad because it's so easy to shop here. Linseed is a smallish store but it's not crammed like some other art supply stores which makes it easy to find the stuff that they carry. Of course, they don't carry a massive selection but they do have reasonable prices on paint and are one of the few places to carry Stevenson oil and acrylic paints. They also have a decent selection of brushes, canvas and sketch books.

Better and cheaper alternative to Woolfitt, Aboveground and DeSerre's in art selection. Also cleaner and more less bleak inside than Curry's. Sometimes they may carry items similar to others at a lower costs; I bought a ruler and a portfolio at a cheaper price than the ones even found @ Curry's!
