This store is awesome - so glad I found it.They beat Elte by $400.00 and Casalife too. Best part is I didn't even have to ask, they just gave me the lowest price.
I bought a sofa from them and its so comfortable, and solid for wear and tear (my cats). The staff is so friendly, and its a fun atmosphere. I love the website too - it's easy to navigate and a lot of product that the competition sells is on there for easy picking, but Equilibrium has the lowest price so far that I know of.
The Canadian sofa line is the best I've seen in that entire area, lots to chose from and a great experience.
Price is the best in the city, my friends buy all their modern knock off furniture from them as well at a steal of a deal.
Kind and helpful staff with great product and the best prices I am a loyal customer as are my friends - we go to them first .

This store isn't your typical over the top showroom, but let me just say the product they can get in at the price they charge almost made me fall over. I asked about the 'eames lounge chair' and the price they had was $1100.00 whereas other stores are priced out over $1300.00 for the same product.
I was a bit worried at first that they couldn't get the product I like, but in fact they can. I really like this store and glad I gave it a try.

Jess thanks for your tip. I just left there today. I got a stylus sofa from them for a great deal not to mention the famous modern furniture knock off chair by Hans for a great price!

wow I am so happy I found this place via blogto. I called in and they were quoting me a lot better price then most places on Queen street. I live downtown so I thought I was better off shopping downtown. Glad I did my research first - I saved over well over $1300.00 Thanks Equilibrium

This store donates to a variety of charitable organizations in which I feel is a must when you are running a business. I find a majority of business's do not give back to the community. Aside from that I must say they have a lot of Canadian product on their floor. I feel as though this store is doing the right thing by giving back and supporting Canadian lines. I happily shop here when I am looking for furniture.

So happy I found this place. I am done going to other stores for modern furniture knock offs. This place can't be beat I'm convinced! Also saw some of the same sofas as Urban barn but lower price at Equilibrium.. Stylus Sofas ?... Fantastic little shop!

Just make sure you ask for your product if you don't see it on the floor. Hey if the staff didn't tell me I wouldn't have thought to ask for a particular product I saw down the street at a much higher price point.
I had to mention this story, it was that easy. A walk down the street and I saved big time.

Store has a large variety.
I was looking at the Mika sofa by Stylus but went with a lower end company they sell. The sales staff are really helpful. I didn't know what I wanted but then they broke it down for me. In this case I wanted a 5yr fix. I walked away with a grey sofa for 499, side table for 119, and a occasional chair for 199. This place is great for all people with all budgets. Satisfied customer.

I was in here yesterday and overheard the owner talking to someone from the Marilyn Dennis show . From what I have been hearing around the neighbourhood and reading online and in newspaper this store is going to be the next big thing. I am already a customer I just don’t want this store to loose its ‘charm’.

Dropped by, blonde girl helped me and my boyfriend. Very polite and knew her stuff. Suprised by the down to earth salesmanship , really no pressure. I really liked it here, it isn't your over the top snobfest atmosphere. I am going to buy this week from them. Bottom line they beat everyones price.

Not crazy for what they have in the showroom. I like 'higher end' stores, although a sale's person told us they can get in more products. I started looking through the books and found a chair I was about to buy at Morba. Equilibrium quoted me around 10% less, so I bought it through them.

I've heard nothing but good things about this store, especially their commitment to their community! When I'm in the area next I definitely plan on checking it out. CB2 just opened down the street from me, but I will definitely be checking Equilibrium before I decide to purchase ANYTHING furniture related. Support local, hard working stores!

This store lacks lustre, and I didn't believe all the positive comments. Maybe I'm a Debbie downer but Toronto and good customer service , yah okay. I checked the store out with my boyfriend, and I dealt with a girl who was actually very kind and helpful which surprised me. I later looked at the site and I guess I was dealing with the owner. Maybe this store is so successful because this owner is there everyday or maybe its because she is competitive. She certainly hooked us with her bottom line pricing. For me I like a higher end showroom, but to be fair the customer service was excellent, the product they have does cater to everyone, I can get the high end stuff through them, at the end of the day I will return.

This store is small, with a tiny selection, although they can get in a lot more. I would not suggest this store for the shopper who wants to go in, see multiple seclection and/or leave with the product in hand, this is not that type of store.
I don't mind waiting for my product, and I enjoy supporting this store rather than Elte, Urban barn, and the others.
They have the same product and they give us the lowest price as advertised everywhere on their site and windows.

Love this store.

Lowest price for Stylus that I have seen. They beat everyone, and I shop around. Most important they wanted me as a client so they treated me really well and I appreciated that . Its a big purchase and I rather not give it to the other guys as they couldn't give a shit about me. Equilibrium also worked with my budget, its true that they really do work with you.

Samantha gave me a great idea for a layout. I went with her advice and she shopped for me and I got the entire annoying situation done with. No headache. I am so happy with my space and didn't have to pay a penny to any designer.
I am now moving on to my den with her, so far she has completed my living room, bedroom, and dining. I will be posting pics on facebook. Great job and product.

Maybe not the nicest store, but the nicest staff, besides I went on the website and found everything I needed. They really do cover every line you can desire.

Deal with Samantha for design advice, she knows her stuff. The staff is great for purchasing only, I would not recommend you look for advice from them. I find the owner can narrow in on product in a matter of seconds whereas the staff takes far too long and end up calling Samantha anyways.

Really? Is this a charity shop...totally tacky! Maybe the owner should come up with an original idea? Mind you, she is catering to a degenerate crowd! Oh, and stylus sofas are crap!

I just bought a new Stylus sofa from Equilibrium this weekend, my last Stylus sofa lasted my family 15 years, I enjoy the product. I really enjoy this store's charm. They have a unique driven concept unlike any other furniture store on the market.

Better than Morba? Price points yes.
Huge selection on floor? No
Tacky? I agree that some of the artwork is
Overall? Great staff, great product, and original items.
I have owned a Stylus before too, and it lasted me well over 10 years, I am changing it because I want a new style, and yes so far they have given me the lowest price.

I am happy to have this store join The Junction.
In a sea of reclaimed, and salvaged furniture and decor items they have modern, contemporary, and elegance. Thanks for coming to our neighbourhood Equilibrium!

This store gets pretty packed on Saturday. I would strongly suggest if you have questions e-mail them before hand.I had to wait for help and I should have just e-mailed them or called before hand. I didn't realize this store would be so busy.
Later on I ended up buying 12 sofas for my lounge along with stools, chairs, and tables. Best service I have seen in a long time. Really happy to deal with them. I recieved my order on time and there was no problems . I can't tell you how many stores I went to before this one. I will be sticking with Equilibrium because really they are a joy to deal with and charged a lot less then the 'big' guys.

Small Toronto furniture store. I bought online, not what I wanted in the store so I went to website www.equilibriumfurnishings.com
A nice change to downtown / May 2, 2012 at 04:19 pm

I went to this store today, to see what all this buzz was about. I was welcomed by a staff member, and wasn't followed around or bothered. The word must have really spread about this store as there was a mountain of furniture ready to go out the door, and I happened to notice the young lady was working with a couple and their layout . Free design advise from an interior decorator, go figure , that’s a +.
They have a diverse store, and I ended up buying 8 dining chairs from them.
They had the better price out of all the stores on Queen street, King street, and many others., but some stuff I did see on online stores at a better price.
Its true that a lot of the product on the website is not on the showroom floor. The showroom is small but warm and welcoming I would suggest stopping by if you enjoy down to earth shopping and honest sales staff , but if you enjoy stuck up sales staff and cold showrooms then I would greatly suggest you stick to their online website.

Seems that most of these comments were written by the owner. From her website, she's"operated many furniture stores" etc etc and she's 25??? Self-promotion is ok but keep it real and reasonable. And by the way Stylus sofas are made in Vancouver so you pay at least $100 to ship them here. Buy something made in Toronto instead and save that.

Stylus is great. I have had mine for 5 weeks now and I saved a lot of money buying from Equilibrium. I was looking at Brentwood classics, made in Toronto but they were charging me more money? I also bought a grey sofa for my daughter at $599.00. We are both happy customers and happy to shop here.
