I purchased a Bosch dishwasher from Caplan's in January. After installation, the unit would not turn on. After 2 more service calls and hours on the phone with Bosch, I had to call in a warranty provider to look at the machine. Turns out the control panel was defective/broken, and that Caplan's had delivered to me an expensive Bosch dishwasher that was DOA. I left several messages at Caplan's (including on the voicemail of Leonard, the salesperson who sold me the unit and told me to call him if there were any problems), NONE of which were returned.

Finally, after the 5th message, Liz from "customer service" (I use that term very lightly) called me back and was both rude and insulting. She tried telling me how electronic problems such as a defective control panel were "very common" and happen "all the time". She also told me how you never know about the life expectancy. This was insulting and UNTRUE on so many levels -- firstly, this was a BRAND NEW unit that was delivered dead-on-arrival -- no life expectancy at all!! Secondly, I have purchased dozens of electronic appliances over the years (all kitchen appliances now have electronics in them) and I have NEVER had one that was defective upon delivery. Thirdly, the installer told me that he has installed hundreds of dishwashers and he has never come across this problem before.

So, after being insulted and lied to, I was offered NO help once so ever and was told I had to contact Bosch on my own and deal with it myself since Caplan's "was not the manufacturer".

Way to stand behind the things that you sell/your inventory, Caplans!! You will never get my business again.

DO NOT BUY FROM HERE.
