House of Vintage Closes on Queen, Tentatively Enters Deadpool
It has only been four years but already the House of Vintage is calling it quits at 571 Queen Street West. The deceptively large and award winning vintage store is now shuttered - and added to the growing list of local businesses opting out of escalating rents on this stretch of Queen West.
In a note posted to the front window, the owner explains that they are not closing for long, but simply chose not to renew their lease. Watch for a new location to surface in about eight months.

High rents and low traffic... those big box stores like H&M and the GAP ruined the neighborhood, because why would you travel all the way downtown for shit you can find at your local crap-mall? Shopping traffic has actually dropped in that area. I wonder when the city is actually going to do something about protecting what actually makes Toronto unique.
