Contest: Win tickets to Alexander Keith's birthday bash

Posted by Staff / October 4, 2012

toronto alexander keith birthdayAh, Alexander Keith--freemason, Scotsman, and Grand Master of Nova Scotia. But arguably his greatest achievement is his eponymous brewery, founded in 1820. One of the oldest breweries in North America, it churns out pale ales, light ales, amber ales, and its crown jewel, the India Pale ale.

This Friday, October 5, Alexander Keith Brewery invites you to join them in celebrating a very impressive birthday at the Evergreen Brickworks. There'll be shuttle service, food samples from Rock Lobster Co. and Stuft designed to pair perfectly with your brew, musical guests Matt Mays and Dwayne Gretzky, and of course, beer.

THE PRIZE

Two lucky readers will receive two VIP tickets each to Alexander Keith's birthday party on October 5 at the Evergreen BrickWorks (550 Bayview Avenue) at 8pm.

HOW TO WIN

To win, just answer the following question: How many years ago was Alexander Keith (the man, not the brewery) born?

The first 2 correct commenters win the pairs of tickets. Please make sure to include a valid email address in the comment form "Email Address" field so that we can contact you if you're a winner.

FINE PRINT

You must be a Toronto-area resident to win. Only one comment and answer per person. If you include multiple answers or post multiple comments you will be disqualified, and the winner must pick up their own tickets.

UPDATE

This contest is now closed. Winners will be contacted shortly.

Selling warm beers and having extremely limited washroom facilities, also many people were left to stand in the pouring rain because of some lousy no entry policy and this was at 10pm, I am sure Keith's made money hand over fist, since this event appeared to be more about a cash grab, than celebrating Alexander's birthday
