Contest: Win a pair of tickets to see B'Z

Posted by Staff / September 14, 2012

bz torontoJapan might not necessarily be known for its international reach when it comes to rock bands, but rock duo B'Z have released 18 albums and sold over 80 million CDs in their native Japan, and gained notoriety as one of the best-selling musical artists in the world. They're returning to North America for a fourth tour, and celebrating with the release of their first English-language release. They've been around since 1988, and over the years they've collaborated with Linkin Park to raise funds for victims of the Japan tsunami, and jazz guitarist Larry Carlton for a Grammy award-winning album. B'Z were also the first Asian artists to have been inducted into the Hollywood Rock Walk, and guitarist Tak Matsumoto is only the fifth guitarist to have a signature Gibson model.

THE PRIZE

Two lucky readers will receive two tickets each to the September 26th B'Z concert at the Sound Academy (11 Polson St.).

HOW TO WIN

To win, just answer the following question: What's the full name of the Gibson guitar that Tak Matsumoto had named after him?

The first 2 correct commenters win the pairs of tickets. Please make sure to include a valid email address in the comment form "Email Address" field so that we can contact you if you're a winner.

FINE PRINT

You must be a Toronto-area resident to win. Only one comment and answer per person. If you include multiple answers or post multiple comments you will be disqualified, and the winner must pick up their own tickets.

UPDATE

This contest is now closed. Winners will be contacted shortly.

Hi guys, there does, indeed, seem to be more than one model. In light of this, we'll accept [any] of the Tak Matusmoto models that have been produced by Gibson. Cheers!
