My gf & i had dinner last night ( thurs: ) 06/07th @ the newly renovated " yorkdale mall " " famoso neapolitan pizzeria " whilst the ambience was okay unfortunately we had a huge disatisfaction coz' the pizza we ordered which was highly recomended by anthony " the capricciosa " which came to our table in just under 15mts was soft & very soggy & almost unpalatable. It tasted like a softly made pancake but the ingredients were fresh. I asked the girl @ the order counter whilst ordering the pizza to ask that it be extra well done coz' i have a sensitive stomache & i observed that she wrote i quote " extra well done " unquote ! But still for all it came out like a pancake which was most unfortunate since we had very high expectations of " the pizza that famoso makes " we were so very hungry that we ate it but half way through it i mentioned it to our waiter & he said would u like to speak to the mngr: & so on but since my gf was embarassed to do so i said no it's okay but is this the way your pizza is made \7 went on to explain to him how i went about ordering it well done \7 such & he said well they are cooked soft & crispy & we wondered how could it be so all @ the same time soft & crusty when it was so very soggy ! He said the next time u guy's come here ask them to make it extra, extra well done ! Now i must say that we will not order pizza here anymore & certainly don't recomend it but however i must say that we ordered desert & the desert " dolce & banana " was absolutely splendid & i told them so & we will certainly go there just for that ! The pizza though we will not have but we may try the other deserts as well but the " dolce & banana " is fantastic which i recomend to everybody but for " pizza " we will stick to ordering from " pizzaiolo " as in my opinion they make a great " pizza " btw i might mention that when i was paying my bill i spoke to the waitress that the experience i had was not pleasant \7 such about the pizza & she was wonderful apologetic & such but i did also tell her how fantastic the desert was & that the next time we will come for just the desert she commented whilst apologising once again that they will do better the next time we come over & try the pizza if we do ! As to the renovations the food court the staff @ " dine on 3 " such they are great especially the two gentleman @ the concierge desk. We were also there' on the 1st day of it's opening last sat: evening & had dinner @ shanghai 360 which was very nice coz' when we went to su&shi they unfortunately had run out of there' ramen broth except for soya which is'nt great as a broth for ramen but we shall try them out tonight & i'm sure that it will be good !

i am waiting for " espressamente " to open next week to enjoy ! To all of u wonderful people out there' have a fantastic weekend & enjoy the sun ! j.b.

since my previous comment about " famoso " i must say that i now have become a fan of "famoso" as i have been there' many a time since & thought of trying out there' pizza another time & after having spoken to the owner who happens to be a wonderful gentleman he advised me to order "easy on the sauce" & "well done" which i have now many times over & "yes" i must say that they have improved & i am now more than pleased to visit "famoso" which i have over & over & over again & will continue to do so in the days to follow !

my advise to all of u wonderful people out there is to go to "famoso" often & whilst ordering ur "pizza" to tell the staff @ the order counter to go " easy on the sauce " & ask for it to be made " well done " & trust me as a food critic u will love the experience. my recomendations would be to order the "margherita" the "vesuvio" the "siciliana" the "conforto" the "san andreas" i can go on & on & on but i will let u be the judge as now i must say that they are great the staff is being trained & are very friendly & they strive for perfection & i wish the wonderful owner & his team the very best & most importantly the food is par excellance' & do not forget to have the "dolce & banana" wow ! this is there' best desert & by far it beats any ***** (5 star)restaurant as this is a must try & for this alone u will get addicted & keep going for more & more let alone anything else but also i must say that even when i now eat two(2) pizza's i never feel overful it never feels uncomfortable coz' of all of there' high quality ingredients that they use & especially the flour that they use which has low gluten caputo "00" flour that they use is excellent & oh ! the campania tomatoes are fantastic the basil is fresh i can go on & on but i will simply say that they are the best & also there' "appetizers" are great & so are there' salads, the tapenade& the " gelato" is great especially the "fior-di-latte", vanilla bean,cappucino & i might mention the " mango pineapple " it's fantabulous ! i shall conclude by wishing "famoso" the very best as i continue to be a loyal customer of their's & i will always recomend them to each & everybody that i know ! i thank u for the fantastic service that u have begun to grow along with ur wonderful staff ! ur loyal & humble customer hrh. prince. sheikh. mohammad zia ul rahhkmann quarrib sultan. lord of the river ! alias:( james bond 007 )
