Contest: Bring your idea to life with Marc & Craig Kielburger
Marc and Craig Kielburger don't need much of an introduction but I'll give them a short one anyway. The brothers are co-founders of Free the Children, a Toronto-based charity that has built more than 650 schools throughout Asia, Africa and Latin America, providing daily education to more than 55,000 children in 16 countries. They're also behind the social enterprise Me to We and the wildly successful We Day which takes place this year on September 27th.
Now, in partnership with ROOM FOR THOUGHT, a new initiative by American Express, we're offering the chance for one lucky Canadian to work with Marc and Craig to bring an idea to life. All you need to do is go to The American Express Canada Facebook page and submit a great idea that can be brought to life in a space in Toronto for three days later this year.
Whoever submits the winning idea will get a chance to work with Marc and Craig to devise a plan. In addition to their time, Marc and Craig have offered to teach, guide, impart knowledge and draw on their wide-range of personal and business contacts. The whole experience will be documented in a series of films later made available to the public.
You can also submit your great idea for Travel and Adventure and get the chance to work with Les Stroud of Survivorman or Music and work with Emily Haines.
blogTO is a promotional supporter for ROOM FOR THOUGHT. The ROOM FOR THOUGHT will be located inside the Four Seasons Centre for Performing Arts during November 2011. The winner's idea will be showcased for a three day period with the venue being open to the public. American Express will also help make the idea an ongoing reality by offering the winner $10,000.
