Transit Stories

Posted by Tim / April 16, 2007

20070416_transitstories.jpgOne of the more innovative and interactive exhibits at this year's Contact Photography Festival is a collaboration between the arts community and ONESTOP Media Group, the company behind the digital ads on subway platforms.

Starting April 30th and running until June 3rd, sixty to ninety commuter-submitted Transit Stories will air on ONESTOP's TTC screens. Mixed in with the regular ads and news coverage, Transit Stories will be shown 6 times per hour and feature 2 or 3 different photographers a day, in 30 second blocks of time.

I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) this added installation makes Contact the largest photography festival in the world :)

Yeah. I just came from the Contact media launch event and they said it was the largest in the world (not just North American anymore)
