What winter in Toronto looks like on Instagram

Winter TorontoWinter arrived in Toronto officially on December 21st, but while we received a heaping of snow post-Christmas, frigid temperatures are a more recent development. And, as befits our reputation, we as a city love to complain about it all. But, you know what? We also love to snap photos of winter, presumably seeking some sort of comfort in the aesthetic merits of freshly fallen snow. So, in that vein, here's a sample of some of the great shots our Instagram followers have uploaded over the last day or so under the hashtag #winterTO.

The only thing older than a "mom joke" is a lame attempt at a winter in Toronto joke with a sarcastic eye roll. Well done.

Heyyy the photo's look great!

I noticed a little typo on the 4th image (that's me!)
My insta is "toutpetite" not "toutepetite". If you wouldn't mind makin' a lil' adjustment.

I still can't figure out what this white stuff all over the place is? Someone suggested it was snow, but since when does it snow in Toronto. What a bunch of pish posh.

Yes, nothing like taking mediocre pictures and thinking they look great because an overused filter is applied. No filter can change the eye of a photographer.

This looks amazing as I have seen Toronto only in Autumn. I find almost unrecognisable under snow. Beautiful. At the moment we suffer under temperatures up to 45deg C in SYD au.

The French are very anal about their parts of speech and the use of masculine and feminine forms. Toute petite would be correct or even tout petit, but certainly not toute petit. Whether you like it or not; it's grammatically incorrect. Please turn off the ignorance. Try Google sometime.

They're not 'anal', it's just that things in French are either grammatically correct or not, with very few grey areas.

'Toute petit' is indeed incorrect, but it's not what kitkat is claiming.

The issue here is that 'tout' is an adverb, not an adjective, and it is sometimes invariable, depending on what follows:

but not before 'petite'.
