Behind the scenes at Pride 2012
Pride Week has ballooned into what many feel is the unofficial start to summer in Toronto. The outrageous dress, the provocative signs, and over-the-top floats all help to create a spectacle that is quintessentially Pride. These are the images that occupy the collective imagination when we think of the parade. Few, however, see the moments that lead-up to the parade, during which teams of volunteers and participants move to finalize floats, sound systems, make-up and costumes — in short to create the festival that Toronto has come to love.
Here's a look behind the scenes at Pride Toronto.
