The lowly but lovely Toronto laundromat
Laundromats in Toronto are surprisingly photogenic spaces. While they might at first seem institutional and boring, upon closer inspection there's a certain retro charm about most of them that's highly conducive to nostalgia. Not only that, local photographers — presumably in need of a way to pass the time while waiting for a load to finish — have found a number of creative ways to entertain themselves, including taking shots of their friends inside the machines and, well, dancing.
Here's a roundup of some of the best ones to be found in the blogTO Flickr pool. Perhaps they'll prove inspring the next time you're dreading laundry day. Lead photo by Jen Tse.

They're so retro and ironic! Lets dance inside them!
Lets take lots of photos and immediately put them on on our blog and show the world how connected to the street we are.
