How to rent a parking spot in Toronto

After our post earlier today about the worst parking lots in Toronto, Twitter user @slimmetry sent us a tweet suggesting we check out Parkopedia - a web site that helps users find available parking spots in Toronto. While Parkopedia won't help with the congestion at Yorkdale Mall, what it does do is provide a handy Google map showing private parking spots, parkades, metered parking spots and street parking in Toronto.

For example, say you're looking for a parking spot at Yonge and King. The map shows a number of options in the area including an underground 24 hour spot for $300 a month. Too steep? A block away from that is only $289 but, warning, no propane-powered vehicles allowed! And look, there's also mobile apps for iPhone and Android.
