And Then There was Hail
Just when I thought the weather in Toronto couldn't get any weirder this summer we get hail. Yep, coco-puff sized balls descended on downtown this afternoon, causing bikers and pedestrians to flee indoors for protection.
The thing is - this isn't even the first time we've had hail this month. A quick Google search revealed that parts of the GTA were swept up in part of a hail storm back on August 7th.

I hate it when people from Toronto tell me It rains a lot in Van. well I have never seen this much rain in my life as I did this summer in Toronto. and I lived in Van for 10 years.
last year it was dry and hot.
so while vanny is consistently rainy, you've just shown up to toronto during a freaky time.
Toronto generally gets much less rain than Vancouver. We've already broken the summer rainfall record. It's an anomaly.
@Ben: I would go back to Van in a sec if I could TRUST ME!!!.
and what those Vancouverites have been telling you is very true. I guess you just haven't experienced living in Canada's paradise yet. I hope you will be lucky to do it one day.
At least you're not one of those annoying prairie people who keep saying "but it's a dry cold". Those people send me right round the bend. In that case, who's the one broken on the wheel of winter?
Yes, it's been an anomalous year with weather and let's hope that things will be better soon.
regardless, the hail was ridiculous. we'd have better get a beautiful autumn or i'm gonna need some daylight lamps in my apt.ugh.
Munzz, ever been to Greece? I hear it's fantastic.
... ummmmm yes I have, correct me if I'm wrong but Greece is not part of Canada. We are talking about Canadian cities dude. you dont have to bring up Greece in every argument.
I'm sorry about the weather Munzz, we'll try to fix it ok?
I'm just hoping to witness a tornado but that seems unlikely despite a few funnel clouds spotted over Toronto/GTA.
I lived in Vancouver and gladly left it for Toronto. While I didn't mind the Vancouver weather, what I hated were the people convinced they lived in the best place on earth all based on scenery...Vancouver is the most unfriendly canadian city(no one smiles), it is also struggling to become a real city given it is mostly inhabited by western hicks @ heart. Yes, Vancouver is beautiful, but not for everyone, expensive, impractical, no real job opportunities unless you're highly qualified...SCENERY DOES NOT BRING FOOD ON THE TABLE.
