Toronto's 24-Hour Grocery Stores

So you've planned a huge weekend brunch and have invited everyone you know. By Friday night, you're sure you've got it all covered: the food, the drinks, the tunes...even those horrible little pork rinds that your friend Ryan adores so much.

You wake in the middle of the night with a sense of impending dread, however, as you suddenly realize that you forgot the orange juice. AUGH. It's 2 am. Where on earth are you going to find a grocery store at this time of night/morning?

Don't panic. Toronto's not exactly a 24-hour city, but here's a list of some grocery stores that are open around the clock.

Bloor Super Save: 384 Bloor Street West (416) 964-8318.

Dominion has quite a few 24-hour stores around the city, including: 425 Bloor St. W. Food Depot: 155 Dupont St. (416) 925-6079.

All Hasty Markets are supposed to be open 24 hours, according to one Hasty Market owner I talked with. There are quite a few in Toronto, including: 125 Dundas Street East (416)203-2378, 219 King Street West (416)537-3030, 557 Church Street (416)967-7517.

All Rabba stores are open 24 hours, 7 days a week. According to the site's store locator, the Toronto locations are: 37 Charles St. W. You can add the Queensway/Humber Sobeys to the list of 24 hour locations.

Dominions have been known to be closed on holidays, the most recent one that comes to mind that I found a bit odd was Easter. However, the Rabba on Wellesley, I have yet to see EVER closed. Luckily for me its next to my house!

Another Sobey's @ Dupont and Shaw (Ossington). Open all night, though you might have to deal with crotchety old Orlando.

This seriously needs to be mashed up on a map so everyboday can add items as they are found and make it easy to see what is close by.

I was trying to make a map of all the 24 hour everythings in the city, but you know, so many ideas, so little time.

Also, the best way to get to the Dominion in Liberty Village is to take the King streetcar to Jefferson, not Strachan.
