Strangers on Streetcars: A Heart Full of Love

Posted by Tanja / March 12, 2007

Something about a sunny afternoon on the streetcar always seems to get strangers talking in this city. This Saturday, like so many others, I was kicking back on the Queen Streetcar when I met this sweet homeless man gentleman.

We talked about life, and mostly about love and, in the end, he even offered up a song.

Just before I left he said,

"One day you'll remember what some guy riding the streetcar said to you. I love you. You're beautiful. I'm just ugly... but I have a lot of love to give."

This is why I love blogTO. You'll never see this kind of stuff on the TV news. Bravo!

That IS such a great video and story. Heartwarming to see an interaction like this, period, more over with his actual situation. Your grin the whole time says it all :) And re-listening to his singing, sounds like my shower crooning as well.
