Bike Illusion in Waikiki

Like Toronto, Honolulu is a very bike-friendly city with extensive bicycle paths and routes for both residents and tourists.

In Waikiki, the department of transportation has created a cute and creative way for cyclists to lock up their two-wheeled loved ones.

Not sure how secure or sturdy these monuments are, as I wasn't able to put them to the test, but they don't look like a two-by-four can bust them apart very easily. Plus, they seem to stand alone as public art without anything chained to them. The only problem is the size. They're huge and take up more of the sidewalk.

Honolulu is NOT bike friendly. Not even close to Toronto, or any major city. Before you start spouting off about how "bike friendly" a city is, try living there. Then try riding your bike in traffic, because those bike lanes you tout really don't exist.
